I'm looking at getting a megane manifold and downpipe to replace my willy manifold and dodgy custom stainless downpipe as i read that they are better than the willy ones.
But i've just read this over on retro-renault

Who told you that? The manifold does flow better until it gets to the flexi section - There things get a little "interesting". If it's tubular you're after then try to source a super-sprint unit or use the Williams manifold and keep the standard downpipe.

I used to run one on our 2.0 16v as the engine came from a Megane so naturally kept the manifold setup but you can see a real flat spot in the torque curve with this setup. Nick Hill highly recomended the F7P setup to me though I've not got the car running yet to make a comparison in the power outputs. Andrew Lowe's Clio on RSC is running around the 180bhp area on standard inlet and he uses the F7P setup... can't be that bad.

Has any else used the megane manifold and DP? Did it make any performance difference?
Don't want to mess about with changing the manifold if i would be better off with the willy one with a proper DP.

What modifications are needed then?
I see you have welded up the hole in the manifold it's self, and have you welded a new piece onto the downpipe to mate it to a valver de-cat?
Where des the lamba sensor go?
Does it not fit straight onto a williams de-cat?

They do not match up, the flange sits at 45 degrees away from the cat. Mine is modded to fit a Williams decat.

Left my camera at the garage but will post pics asap.
