im looking at getting this manifold, its for a 200sx so i was goin to remove the flange that bolts to the head and replace with one that will fit my williams. am just thinking will it be best to have it with the turbo flange faces up or down? or is this idea just not a good 1?

the manifold is cheap and i think it may be better than the cast jobbie i have as present.

any ideas?

i would see if the gasket fits the bores of the head first before u buy a manifold...expensive to find out if they dont align

are you sure it will fit the Willie head?
are the exhaust holes the same?

buy both exhaust manifold gaskets and over lay them first. then go from there.

but the port shapes look wrong.

The best match ive come across is a 2.0 Zetec NA manifold...its fooking ideal, i'll takes some pics for you 2moro.

nice 1, i did think that after i posted. in the end it would prob be easier to try n make my own. but thought it i cut the flange off both ends i could try and jiggle the pipes about. bit of a risk to find out i agree.

bass direct was goin to use a civic manifold like your using the sx one. might have been for a B16 lump though i dont know.

the above pic was just a guide pic.

plus my best m8s dad owns a welding company so thinking of purchasing 1 and modifying it the best i can. ive looked at buyin the stainless tube and making the flages but it'll have to ported and flowed etc so figured for the price i mite just buy 1 and see what happens.

getting the gaskets to measure up is my 1st port of call. excuse the pun!!!!

The critical thing here for you is is the oil flow for the turbo.

The drain is gravity driven, and the flow must be good otherwise there's too much pressue and oil will leak into the compressor housings, thus u have a smoking turbo.

You need to check that that the turbo you have can get a good drain.

i'd just run the one you have mate, its tried n tested and works, no point over complicating shizzle! altho that one does look like the one maxiboy posted up to fit turbos bigger than a t28 to the f16 lump

And the rs turbo manifold fits the zetec head with slight modification to the bolt hole spacings. hmm i wonder if i still have one lurking in my shed, i also found at work that the k16 rover manifold lines up perfect with the ports on an f7 head, cant remember if the bolt holes do though, i was wondering if the t-series manifold fits the k-series heads.... if so maybe with a bit of fabrication the t-series manifold would fit an f7.....

i have just sent an email. i am going to see my friends dad who is a fabricater and a bloody good welder. they make turbo manifolds for boats and have just got a pipe bending machine, i am going to see if they can make the manifolds.

i will try and organise a group buy which i will put a post up in the group buy section now.

if your still interest in the 200sx maniflage, i've aquired an sx exhaust gasket for comparison to the F7 head
