Just had a little do with a scooby upto 70, Guy planted it so i did the same and there was no difference he didnt move at all.

couldn't see what type it was but it didnt seem to quick by scooby standards...

Thought it should have pulled some more, was Red with gold wheels and the bonnet buldge.

Was just testing out my new engine mounts and they seemed to hold up fairly well :D

I recently posted doings with a scooby (mark 1 though), expected to get a pasting, but he only pulled a few car lengths on me, if that!

Was well chuffed with our little clio!

Thing is there are some slow scooby's out there, they ain't all STi's lol

Point of note, before i rebuilt my engine the hybrid topped out with my mate's WRX scooby at 140 mph......on a private runway ofc ;)

I doubt I could beat an RSI flat out in my RA. It manages 110 mph top whack, and is banging off the limiter so much you wouldn't want to keep it at that speed for long  I've given up taking it to any tracks that have a decent length straight!

110? Hmm, I was sure the RA's i drove hit 120 with the short ration 'box. Are you sure it is not the standard jap spec limiter in the ECU? They capped speed at 112 mph in the old days (not sure about now).

Yes, I'm sure  I put a 2.5 litre short block in it which means it can't rev as high as the normal EJ20. Power is well up but max speed is actually down! You are right that it would hit about 120mph on the EJ20 STI lump with the low ratio box.

was going to say, i had me mates ra up to the 120ish mark.

willy still battered it tho lol.

the scoobs n evos arent all that. good off the line, but then the weight and transfer/box losses cut in big time.

tbh honest in my hybrid i never lost a duel with a scoob...

yesterday i was edged by a sti uk thing...but i was in the vx.

standing starts are a different ballgame... you will never win.
