Most people on here will tell you to get a panel filter for the existing box mate. Open filters tend to slow the car down cuz its hot under the bonnet but sound nice lol.

A good air feed to one helps though

im using itg panel filter with 85mm airfeed from a fog air scoop works really well MUCH better than open IKs.

going to try a scuttle panel induction usign BMC CDA + 85mm airfeed from scuttle :) should be good. but them 2 are the best thing u can do induction wise. both get u cold pressurised air, only with a airscoop it forces ait into the airbox creatign the pressure.

well i think

The old Hill power, semi enclosed induction kit with extra feeds is what i run, sounds great, performs great and is a good compromise between standard system and uprated filter, and an open induction kit. there was one for sale on ebay i put the link up on the ebay section...

Sorry to be a pain mate, but do you have any info/pics of the extra feeds youve done on the semi enclosed hill power, ive got the same kit on my valver and want to reduce the effects of heat soak which kill the car when its warmed up, but i couldnt live without the noise!

Look in the williams clio discussion, im doing a scuttle relocation kit you mite be intersted in for about £100 less than hill power.

hey tom,

sorry i dont and im in the USA at the moment so a bit far from the beast! lol

easiest way is to simply route an extra feed either from a fog light scoop or from the front bumper grill (lower section) and then use some imagination to join the 2 foil feeds, much like a 2-1 downpipe etc...

i will be putting in a fog light scoop when i get home 8)

cheers drsmith, I think ill have a crack at this when my student loan comes through! The standard hill power tubing is all knarled up at the moment and has lost a bit of length so its just pulling in air willy nilly from all over the show.

Does anyone know of a cheap place to get hold of some decent CAF tubing?

B&Q?

i went to my local motor factors and they had some spare odds and ends and i got some 56mm (i think?!) diameter aluminium hose for 4GBP a piece. so sometimes it pays to pop in your local and ask.

B&Q and the likes done stock the smaller diameter aluminium hose in the right lengths, they have the larger 4inch+ etc.... but its a bit over kill. You can try specialist plumbers and heating places, but in the end its probably easier to get some from Ebay from the specialists. seems expensive at first, but the amount of driving about to find something cheaper offsets any savings! lol unless you are jammy like me and get some odds and ends!

The foglight scoop feed looks great, so check out coops' great guide and see how its done then mate it to the original feed.

I really should but ive just moved into a new house for the start of my second year at uni, and now BT are trying to bum me out of £125 just to connect a few wires so we can get broadband, therefore i dont have a pot to piss in.
