View Full Version : Bike Track Day (vids to come...)
I know there's not much interest in two-wheeled contraptions on here, but as I haven't even got a Williams anymore there's not much else I can offer!

Hehe. Yeah, me on the bike. Would've been very clever if I'd done both!

That your bike or did you rent / do the Ron Haslam thing Matt?
Always wanted a bike but couldn't bring myself to use one on the road simply because at least 95% of other road users are gormless fvckwits and I'm too chicken to risk it.
Would love a go on track though.
100% agree with that^^^ hence why I ride enduro!

It's my own bike. I just put some previously damaged fairings on as a bit of damage limitation in case I come off again!

You can rent bikes on normal track days for about £250, or there abouts. But I think you still need a licence. Have you looked into the Ron Haslam day then? You may not need a licence for that. Although it's expensive (about £500?) and you don't get as much track time as a normal day. If you can find a way of getting on track on a bike, take it up because it really is awesome.
It's unfortunate that being on a bike means being so vulnerable, but I just couldn't give it up. I don't have that much self-preservation, perhaps!
Enduro riding, like Stan says, is a good way of getting your biking kicks a different way. Might be worth buying a cheap off-road bike?
My wife used to be big time into dirt bike riding in the states (They have LOADS of mahoosive tracks out there), and she loves it. If you ever get the chance give it a go :)

Im torn between GSX-R 600 or CBR 600RR, i love them both, then saw the R6 is more of a sports orientated bike and am now considering that too!
My stepdad has a Busa, best part of 200mph. Love it.
looks like your equally commited on 2 wheels as well as 4... 8)

Depends what age of bike you're on about, but either way they're all far faster, more capable and more sports-orientated than any normal rider could handle/use on the road, so just go for the one you prefer the look of most! :)

I'd be even more so if I knew I could spin a bike and get away with it.
Looks good fun that. Nice pictures there.
