View Full Version : induction kit
anyone know how much this kit costs from hillpower..
and is it any good?
its good. think its around the 130 quid mark.
might be able to do it yourself cheaper with a 19 throttle body adaptor.
says 5bhp gain...£130 bit much for 5bhp...lol
think its more like £180-£200 with the new water bottle....

Cost per bhp gain thats actually cheap. (£26p/bhp) [Based on £180: £36 p/bhp]
For example:
S/s exhaust with decat: 5bhp, £300: £60p/bhp
Cams and pulley's (forgetting remap): Cams £400 + £200 Pulleys with exagerated guess of 15bhp: £40 p/bhp
Remap: Say £400 with possible gains upto 10bhp: £40 p/bhp.
Headwork: Full porting with triple edge valve seats etc: £750 gains(?) say 15bhp: £50 p/bhp.
I dont have much of a clue with regards to gains but i think it would be fair to say my estimates are more than conservative! I did this in an effort to make gains as cheap as poss but as you can see they are no-where near the above.
