Yeah mate. Erm, take it back to the shop, if you cant then ring microsoft support. There is a 3 year warranty on the 3 red light problem. You have to send it to them and you get it back a fw weeks later, fixed. For free

xbox'x are shite, always breaking. Mine has recently started ruining discs and making dodgy noises. Im taking mine back tomorrow and swapping it for an Elite :P

Apart from the colour, hdd and hdmi port the elite is the same system. Microsoft have not even bothered to sort out any of the reliability problems with the elite making it pointless.

Got the elite, i know its the same jamie. Its black with hdmi and a bigger hdd. The reliability issues have been ironed out a little. Oh also, there is hardly any difference on most games between component and hdmi but on forza its noticable. The cars are really shiney, i prefer it the other way tbh lol

My first noticable impressions are that th disc drive opens further and smoother, sounding better as it does too. Overall sound of the xbox is the same.

I didnt swap to the elite as an upgrade either. I was taking my 360 back because it keeps ruining discs and wont play forza anymore. I exchanged it for the elite at asda for the cost of 18 quid so im not complaining.

I personally love the look of the elite but cant justify getting one when I have premium. If mine broke down I would get an elite. All I really want is the larger hdd.

Yeah, mate. The best bit is that its black, although it looks grey in that pic it is darker. The bigger hdd is good but there is no content to fill it so its still not worth gettin. But like i say, it cost me 18 quid more lol

my mate got the 3 lights of death, game froze on an important bit or sumit he said so threw controller, pulled the console off the tv stand n it smacked the floor. has worked fine ever since! :lol:

Yeah thats correct, you can use the towel trick but thats only a short term solution.

wonder if keeping the x box laying down on its side will help, at least then when it heats up to much it shouldn't come away from the board, assuming the solder doesn't form a dry joint you should be ok

My brother works for a games shop in Blackburn - they do employee schemes where you can get basically vouchers for anything in the store if your the best employee of that month etc.. - the bastards won so many times he's basically got a wii, ps3 and 360 out of it for nowt - he went in yesterday to trade his premium for an elite but brought the premium back home and said he couldn't be arsed swapping (plus £££ for a change) as its not all that different.

Gawd I must be old I still play on my N64!

Yep i lost my original gameboy, still got a pocket one, with rc pro am, need to get golf and tetris, although game gear was awesome! streets of rage on megadrive and gg rocked!!
