I have owned this car for about 12months and selling it becauseI’ve bought a MX5 as I fancied something RWD for a change.

This 106 has had a lot of money spent on it over the last few years keeping it in A1 condition, most recently I spent about £800 getting the headgasket replaced by a Citroen Main Dealer just down the road and have receipts for all the parts and labour. Then another £200 getting it through it’s MOT last week. It’s just been serviced too (94,000mile service) by myself so it’s not going to need any money spending on it for a long time.

Service History: -

1,419miles 02/1/97 *Peugeot Dealer* Stamp in service book
8,277miles 20/2/98 *Non-Peugeot Garage* Stamp in service book
16,308miles –no date- *Non-Peugeot Garage* Stamp in service book
22,689miles 21/1/99 *Non-Peugeot Garage* Stamp in service book
26,827miles 17/7/99 *Auto-tech Garage* Service Receipt
29,933miles –no date- *Auto-tech Garage* Service Receipt
35,959miles 16/5/00 *Non-Peugeot Garage* Service Receipt
42,150mlies 3/11/00 *Non-Peugeot Garage* Stamp in service book
54,000miles 20/3/02 *Peugeot Dealer* Service Receipt
63,140miles 13/3/03 *AA Service Centre* MOT and Service Receipt
82,571miles 16/2/06 *Andy Brunnschweiler* Cambelt + Tensioners Service Receipt
88,724miles 24/1/07 *Citroen Main Dealer* Cambelt + Waterpump Receipt
90,074miles 12/3/07 *Citroen Main Dealer* Headgasket, cylinder bolts, exhaust manifold gasket, cambelt, oil + filter Service Receipt
94,000miles June 2007 *DIY service* Oil + filter, Air filter, rear pads, front discs + pads, front tyres, new nearside wishbone All Receipts

It’s had all the usual suspects for a 106 GTI replaced in recent years including things like rebuilding the rear axel as many of the early ones are starting to seize nowadays, sunroof seal, ABS sensors, Lambda, ECU and MAP sensors, brake compensator and new brake pipes, handbrake cables, etc. etc.

So there’s nowt to worry about really. I’m not saying it’s the perfect 106 but it’s an honest car and not hiding any problems so will do it’s new owner proud.
