MK3 1.4 Golf Ryder

Owned this car for just over 7 months, bought for a daily drive after selling my Clio to try and save some money on insurance and maintenance. The time has come to sell on as I have just got a new job which means I can afford a slightly newer car.
Engine / Transmission
Engine on 96k
4 Speed gearbox
Full Service History with most of the services being done a VAG garage (Just recently serviced in May 07 at VW)
10 Months MOT
9 Months TAX
Wallet full of service/MOT and maintenance receipts totalling well over 3k, one service a couple of years ago included a Head Overhaul costing nearly £800. This car has been very well looked after.
It starts first time every time and has never let me down since I’ve owned it.
Bad Points
Slight grinding noise when going down through the gears, however the gear changes are fine and it doesn’t pop out of gear, unsure to what the problem might be. The service engineer at the VW garage said “Car is in good condition for its age”.
Rear brake drum squeak when releasing the brake pedal, apparently common problem with drum brakes and to fix just need the brakes opening and them greasing lightly. I just don’t have time to do anything.
Exhaust heat shield around the back box is loose so smacks against the back box when setting off. Not a major problem and an easy fix I would imagine.
Interior
Completely standard and in very good condition for its age, no cig burns on seats.
Bad points
A few stain marks on the front seats but nothing major
Exterior
Paint work in good condition for it age, regularly cleaned and polished with Megs car wash products.
Seat Ibiza GTI Alloys in good condition with 185/50/15 tyres all with good tread
MK3 GTI arches
MK3 GTI bumpers
MK3 GTI spoiler (Not fitted but included with sale)
MK3 GTI Smoked rear lights
MK3 GTI smoked side repeaters
MK3 GTI Clear front indicators
No Rust around the arches or wings
(Standard bumpers, lights etc... included with sale)
Bad points
Tailgate has about 3 rust spots and a few more little rust spots, again common problem with this age of golf.
Front bumper has a big scratch in it; the scratch was already on the bumper when I bought it. The car is not damaged in anyway.
Rear Bumper has a few scratches in it; again these were already on the bumper when I bought it. The car is not damaged in anyway.
Driver’s door has a scratch and a dent in it from a shopping trolley.
Few other marks including stone chipped grill (again common problem)
Drivers door hangs down a little bit which has caused a scratch at the top of the B pillar.
Security / ICE
Electric central locking for the front doors was installed as the standard Ryder doesn’t come with this. The kit installed is a genuine VAG kit.
The car comes with a Serpi Star alarm that has interior sensors, only have 1 key fob however I do have two door/ignition keys.
Pioneer DEH-77MP head unit or Standard head unit
Alpine Front Components or Standard Speakers

£650 with Standard ICE ono
I have tried to be as honest as I can with this advert, this car is not a show car however it is perfect to be used as a daily drive.
