the willy came off the road tonite in a bad spin, came up a kerb and cracked the sump, theres a nasty dent in the subframe and my trackings out, also looks like the front passenger side wheel is out of line, could anyone help? anyone have a decent sump? can u weld these sumps? anyone have a subframe? anyone local to me (near middlesbrough) who can come round and have a look at it for me as i'm not too mechanically minded and am only learning, and would love someone to help me out n tell me what needs sorting :( any help would be much needed and appreciated as i have very limited funds and am trying to do this on the cheap, but make a good job of it (hard to do, i know) so any professional knowledge would be welcomed, so local lads, please, i need help

There's a sump for sale on eBay at the moment, as well as a subframe as mentioned above.

valver sumps are different. smaller i think. brazing is a form of welding. but with a different type of rod.

i had my sump ally welded when i has it baffled. its fine as long as they know what there doing.

the sumps are the same shape in relation to mating up to the block. just the pattern is different at the bottom, but they all fit each other anyway. (or at least a williams sump went on my valver engine no problems)

with brazing you can just buy the rod and you dont need a welder. just a heat source (ie a gas cannister) so the heat isnt as intense ect. ally welding will prob cost a bit more but it is fine provided the welder knows what they are doing. It just may be a cheaper and easier option.

think it not the same the other way though as williams sump is deeper holds more oil etc. also the williams oil pump pick up fouls the valver sump as i had to mod mine. not sure on the dipstick being correct either.
