Im looking to replace the filter that is in my current hillpower set up. They almost look like modified 'sock'' filters, does anyone know which filter it is and whether or not i can order one from ramair direct?

all info appreciated!

is nick still on here?

If its the one i have then i emailed ramair a few days back about this when i thought i would need a replacement. In the end i took the whole thing off, cleaned it up and repaired the filter myself.

However, here is the copy of the reply i got from the nice people at ramair:

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your email, Hillpower have been a customer of ours for a long time and, although, I am aware of the filters that, they purchase from us I, am not aware of the applications/kits that they are build.
However, I have rang Nick Hill @ hillpower and if, you ring him he will sort your problem. Please ring him, tel. no. 01530 273633 he is waiting your call.
If, you tell him that you have emailed Pat @ Raid when you speak to him.
Regards,
Pat Hibbitt - Office Manager

yep thats the one mucka, after looking at various air filters it appears that it is a simple 'sock' filter that has a hard foam mounting glued to the rim. how did you fix yours? superglue im presuming?

Cleaned the whole bloody thing in soapy water, thoroughly dried it then carefully superglued up the rip. Now back to mint, and i gave the heatshield a good case of degreasing while it was off.

Its not hard to do - ive got all the mechanical skills of a 1 armed badger.

Was a right bitch to get the two spring clip things off the back to free the filter itself so ended up unbolting the whole affair.

i tried to ring nick at hillpower today but i got in late so didnt answer, im going to ring tomorrow and ask about a replacement. if it is a modified sock filter then they are around £20 so its worth getting one as the cleaning kit is £12 delivered

well you can get different viscosities, some which set 'flexible' and some that are dry and tight, almost brittle, so i was trying to deduce which would be best considering the filter is going to be sucked harder than a council estate slappers BJ.

C4 mate, give it enough time to bond and it will make a white van stick to the speed limits.
