i went through something like that in the polo today on way home, then it got deeper and washed over my bonnet, airscoop on the polo is in the front grill so basically sucked a shed load of water in as flood went over! plumed white smoke and stuttered like a goodun after that! :P was a nats nut away from hydrolockin it!
after that pulled over and 'rearranged' my inlet ducting to poke out the side of unclosed bonnet, DIY emergency snorkel landrover style!

As a quick thought, what is the maximum depth water it would be safe to take a standard valver/williams through?
The air inlet is pretty low to the ground isn't it?
I can't believe that Tigra etc were trying to get through and it was like over the bonnet!
