I was possibly thinking about gettin one to save a bit of cash.

Was just curious though, how strong are the engines? I mean, if you were to put a bigger turbo on and maybe a new intercooler :wink:

Id like it to go faster than a shopping cart, thats all :D

Ther not a bad car, a mate had 1 and drive the doung out of her and lasted well over 200,000miles before the head craked.
Think you can screw up the boost on the standard turbo to give you plenty of power without a bigger 1, and screw the pump a bit, suposed to to be good enough, a FM intercooler would be good idea to,
Iv my hdi superchiped and wa thinkn of a fm intercooler, but the a/c condencer is a problem and i want to spend my money on the williams now :D

By the time you've bought a turbo/FMI/exhaust/filter/fuel pump, will you have actually saved any money?!

My brother has one of these, his has a hybrid turbo, front mount intercooler and a few other bits. There seems to be a few ways to cheaply modify these if your willing to do the research and run around getting bits. His front mount intercooler is from a truck and the cam from a petrol model lol

With these mods they push out around 160bhp. The most expensive part was the turbo, but there are plenty of diesel specialists around such as the derv doctor. you just gotta frequent the right forums.
