I have up for sale or p/x a stunning condition renault 5 gt. I bought this car off a 70 year old man who has looked after this car for 7 years! The bodywork is in excellent condition and their is no rust anywhere. It has been waxed underneath and is very solid. The interior is absolutley mint the seats look almost brand new. Everything electrical works which shows how well this car has been looked after. The car is very original it even has the towing eye cover and toolbag in the boot! Engine is also mint as it had a rebuild in 2004 which involved lightend and balanced crank, pistons + rods and lightend flywheel. It has a gttuning double capacity intercooler.

Unfortunatly i cannot get insured on this car for a decent price as it is group 14 so i need something more insurance friendly (clio 16v) and a bit better on fuel. This is because i need to travel far each day for my new job otherwise i would definitly keep! So if anybody has a nice good condition valver in williams blue, grey or black that would like to p/x, swap please let me know asap. Otherwise the car is up for sale for £1300. Chers

If your struggling with insurance on a 5 @ grp 14 a williams is grp 17.

Just something to bear in mind.

i was just suggestin the rsi, cos its only a goup 11, so would be cheaper than a valver to insure, and a hell of alot cheaper than a wily, as above, where are you based??

rsi's are quicker than a valver bottom end - i've raced a couple of valvers in my rsi, raped one through the twisties, and wasn't far behind another on a bypass run, he only started pulling away around 75 mph

will get you pics soon .
in the meantime its 1 lady owner from new (just purchased a week a go and i never registered in my name )
there is the rear arches ,some service history and the condition
of the interior to back up the milage .

leaky sunroof been shut with silicone by some muppet
probably only needs a new seal
there is a dent on drivers door
little dent on bonnet
h/g has recently been changed and the engine
runs smooth as a nut .

where abouts are you from btw ??

taken from original pistonheads advert by previous owner....

"One of the only items not replaced is the gearbox that does have a little play through the transmission when pulling away. This may need replacing in the future hence the low price of £1250 ono for this classic Renault 5."

not a criticism or trying to put any piss on your chips so to speak, just want to make it clear to fellow members.... im also interested in the car! 8)

No worries mate. The car has an uprated clutch which is stiffer and more 'on and off' than standard so you need to get the revs right when pulling off thats all. The previous owner thought it woz the gearbox at fault but its just the uprated clutch. Cheers
