Renault Clio 2.0 Williams 1 (car no 146)

This is an exceptionally low mileage car (currently 50,079). I bought it from a friend who bought it new so it only had 1 owner from new until the end of last year. He had a collection of cars hence the low mileage. He maintained the car regardless of cost. On purchase he had a Thatcham approved Gemini alarm and immobiliser installed. He gave me a lift in the car when it was about 6 months old and always liked it. When he offered it to me last year, I bought it. I am only selling it because my new car has arrived.

It is in immaculate condition having been garaged for most of its life. The interior is also immaculate with only some light greying of the plastics (which could probably be fixed with some plastic restorer).

The alloy wheels were refurbished last year with the correct colouring of the outer rims. There are a few scrapes now but still very good condition.

The car is totally original with original numberplates and all Renault factory stickers etc.

The Williams stickers are slightly worn so I have bought replacements (not yet fitted) from Renault.

I have a massive folder with every receipt and previous MOT for the car and all original books. The main work is detailed below.

08Jan94 – Original invoice for £13,350

Faults:
1) The passenger door electric window sometimes doesn’t work from the passenger switch but always works from the driver’s side second switch so I think this is just a bad connection.
2) The roof of the car was scratched at some point and poorly repaired using a touch-up stick. It’s not that noticeable but ideally should be properly sprayed.
3) One of the plastic rubber strips on the near side door is pulling away slightly. This just needs new adhesive strips.

Car has just been MOT’d (valid until 16th May 2008). Tax is valid until 31st December 2007

Any inspection welcome. The car can be viewed, inspected or driven either at SW9 (evenings) or SW11 (days).

Please no timewasters or tyre-kickers.

The car is on ebay but I will pull it out for a good bid.

I doubt it - very nice girl called Michelle who came with her brother. She offered me just under my target, I trusted her to follow through with the sale and she's collecting it this evening (hopefully!).

I will definitely recommend the forum to her.

Quite sad to be selling it - one of the best cars I've owned even up against some much more expensive alleged exotica!
