Hi all,

Just quickly (as I'm replying to an email).

How much torque and horse power would TB's give on a Valver?

What would the max RPM be? (I'm guessing around 8k max?)

What would top-speed "ideally" do I want in 1st and 6th gear?

^ It's to help with the pricing of a sequential gearbox setup.

Many Thanks!!!

Not yet. Need to save up for about a year. Lol. But no harm in getting names, prices, etc etc.

I've been getting info about "Sadev" boxes. Place called SWR Motorsport Ltd. :)

Depends on the other mods of the motor.

Depends on the cams you will use.

If you have top speed in 1st gear more than 70km/h then you cannot have good times in 0-60 as either you will have a lot of wheel spinning (with more revs) or lag (with low revs).I think that 70km which is about 45m/h is good for first gear and the top speed of the 6th depends on the kind of use you wantto do.Different speed for drag, different for circuits and different for street racing....
The Gr A renault sport (6spd seq) has 58miles/h for the 1st and 143miles in 6th at 9k.

Are you speaking with Steve Waudby at SWR?

No other mods, just de-cat, exhaust and TB's.

I just want a box which is similar to stock, but perhaps allows for quicker changes. i.e. slightly better acceleration. So more aimed at drag/street.

So what are we thinking, 45mph for 1st and then 6th can have whatever really. Not too clued up on ratio's and speed's.

Thanks for any more help.

Oh! The bloke that emailed me was Mat. :)

The sadev gearbox has extremely close ratio
I can help you with the ratios or anything else you want....

Cheers. Yeah, well what speeds would you suggest for max 1st and 6th gears? :)

Also. If anyone can answer please the Horsepower and Torque part too please that would be great.[/i]

45m/h is good for first gear and 130 miles for 6th

Also i dont think that you will get more than 150-155hp and 18kg of torque...

Have you seen 2live or martin changing quickly? They can change extremley quickly on the standard box, not sure you need to spend all that money on one really. Better spent else where imo.

After seeing that Pug with the sequential box I fell in love. It looked so effortless and quick.

However, this is a thing that's well down the line. Don't plan on doing it for a good while yet. Just a nice thing to have, imo.

Lol well if that is the case, I shouldn't of bought my Valver. The amount I've spent on repairs.
