A little bit, if you want proper cold air you want his new Induction Kit.

Do it properly and get the scuttle kit or just keep the standard air box with an itg air filter. The only two decent options in my opinion!
I had a k&n on my 205 gti and it made it sloooooooow..........

is that part of the scuttle enclosed or is it possible to get a cold air feed to it aswell??

So can someone finally confirm if the scuttle option does prevent heatsoak?

YES or NO?

No Maybes!!!

The induction subject seems to be answered around the edges everytime its brought up!

The scuttle kit gets no heatsoak at all mate - its well away from everything...

Im of the same opinion as Hulio - either standard airbox with an ITG filter, or the scuttle option. I had a PiperX kit on my old clio and it was crap - really bogged it down. Switched over to standard airbox and ITG filter and its a massive improvement. Scuttle option isnt that popular because of the work needed, but is definately the best solution.

Not anymore, he only does the new one now.

As said, there is not heatsoak in the scuttle panel.

Why not just buy the polished heatshield for the cone?

Here's a pic, works a treat, especially with two cold air feeds. :) Needed stretching a bit but fits snug.

It's got like hooks around the edge of the heatshield. So you know how you tighten the jubilee clip for the filter on to the throttle body. Well you just hook that under the jubilee clip as well. And that holds it all together. Quite fiddly holding the cone on and also keeping everything lined up so that the clip gets all the hook things. :) No bolting to be done!

Compared to the Viper that was on, I think it's much better. I've reduced the heatsoak as much as I can and she doesn't seem to bog down at all.

So for the £10 odd for the heatshield (or you can get a larger diameter one for a bit more money) I think it is worth it, yeah.

Plus it sounds so cool.

I think if I didn't have that, it would be worse.
