View Full Version : One for the register northy - #407
Had a tip off this was coming into a local salvage yard today, went to have a nosey at it when it arrived as was considering buying it at the right price. However, it is not being broke so please dont ask us to get bits off it etc (you bunch of vultures) - Shame really that its ended up where it is as it doesnt need much to get it back on the road - but it is a write off so will be a Class C. The car is mint with no rust on the arches etc and only 61K on the clock, such a shame  Any previous owners on here of this????

Oh yeah it needs minimal work to get it back on the road, but not worth it for what money the guy wants for it. Considering it classed as a write off the value is halved immediately.

Go in there waving a large wad of cash - might be more persuasive? :)

What damage has it got to make it a write off :? Looks quite straight on the front
Its hit a curb, its got a bent bottom arm, but the sub frame is not damaged. The wheel is ****ed and the wing is broken.
The bumper is in tact inside the car, but there is a dent in the bonnet and the grill is broken. We did wave a wad of cash lol - but he knew what it was and wouldnt budge

I'd certianly consider buying that...nice project from someone...just a shame it'll have the category c looming over it for the rest of it's life :(

Exactly, as said the cat c will halve its value, plus the history is missing for the car so the mileage is not verified- although you can tell its genuine when you look at the car -the interior is like new etc. The money they want for it is not far off the price of a straight one lol

How much they after then...suppose the millage could be sorted with a hpi check. Still would'nt buy a cat c though.

lets just say its too dear to break and way too dear to buy,fix up and sell on,espesh as its wrote off,if you to buy and keep for life it would be a fair price.
with the repairs involved it would be a fair bit above 2k including the car!
i really like it though :(
very nice .....looks like its been well looked after
Get it bought lee - about time u got one to keep

Because I dont wanna advertise a price that we were given, as this may not be the price the guy would sell it to anyone else for. We know the guy that has it you see but if anyone is interested in it, I will happily give them numbers.
