Going to take friday off to do my front wheel bearing - can anyone give me any advise on how to do it without massive amounts of swearing?
Cheers!

Once the hub is removed, take it to a garage and get the bearing pressed in
Cheers Winston!
So it'll defo need to go to a garage to have it pressed in - how much do you think they'll charge for this?
My local charged me £10 for 2
I think you can do it yourself......with a big hammer and metal plate  ....save the stress for £10 imo
Thanks for posting this as i need to do mine too!
I think if I had a Friday off, I'd spend it in bed, eating chocolate and reading Jilly Cooper
Possible change of plan - think i might take the oppertunity to fit the 16v setup as i've got the hub carriers sitting about (inc bearings already fitted)
Just need shocks, ARB and springs now...has anyone tried -50mm 16v apex springs on here by any chance or are they 'too low'? Think that'd equate to a 70mm drop in non-16v terms
Can someone tell me how much a wheel bearing costs? i need to buy one today as my car is crying out for one :?
They're about 25/30quid from a motor factor. Seems a few people think the genuine renault parts last longer so i'd expect them to be about 50 or so
going to order one from bb tuning in that case.... they recon it's renault quality. £25 + vat + £9 delivery
not bad

My 19 eats wheel bearings for breakfast, have tried genunine Reanult bearings and Quinton Hazel and such like, but doesn't seem much differance in any of them, get about 1k to 1.5k miles out of either so the ones from BB sound a better bet than Renault ones
I normally pay £20 for the bearing, and another £20 for fitting
do you take the hubs off yourself - or is that £20 complete? i thought it was much more expensive :?

I just drive it there, they do everything. I've used a couple of other garages in the past, and never paid more then £30 for a complete job

:D that's cheered me up... should i do both in that case?

I normally only do them one at a time, as they never both seem to go together, but if they've not been changed for a while, might as well get them both done i suppose. Probably be looking about £100 all in for bearings and labour i would think
don't think they've been changed for 20k+
so you're probably right - get both done for peace of mind
Getting the bearing done this afternoon.... but it's costing 70 squid labour for just 1 :(
