right my steering racks nackered so gonna change it with one theat i got from ebay ( for £20 ). got new trck rod ends for it,
but just to got some advice its a 1.8 16v rack will this fit a willy 3 both p.a.s. if not then i have done some work unnessessaryly. "have a look if it opens"
o and any advice or tip trick to changing this would be great.

Seem to be get mixed responses about willy/lower model racks on here, with people insisting they're different and some saying they are the same.
afaik, you can use a valver rack but ive heard you have to wind the track rod ends out more as the track arms are shorter... but then apparently willy/normal rack are both the same part no so... :S
iirc the rack is the same but the track rods are different due to the exra track of the willy, even so i dont think its a problem using valver parts as the track rod ends can be wound out

well i am doing this on my drive so i hope i can wind them out
I have a 1.8 rack with williams track and its fine, you just wind the track rod ends out as you said.
