1994 Williams 2 with five previous owners, 90,700 miles, fullly stamped service history, every MOT since new and loads of invoices. Comes with 12 months MOT and six months tax. I've owned it since August '05.

Replaced the following about 8k ago...

Shocks (front and rear)
172 springs
Wishbones (with ball-joints)
Top mounts
Track and tie-rods
ARB bushes
Wheel bearings (front and rear)
Discs and pads (front and rear)
Front brake hoses and fluid change

And in the last couple of thousand miles it's also had four new 185/55 Bridgestone Potenza RE040 tyres.

Service history as follows...

6,391 miles on 06.95 (Renault dealer)
12,567 miles on 12.95 (Renault dealer)
17,230 miles on 09.96 (Renault dealer)
24,087 miles on 06.98 (Lotus dealer)
30,333 miles on 11.98 (Renault dealer)
36,344 miles on 05.01 (Renaultsport Specialist). Major service.
41,826 miles on 12.01 (Renaultsport Specialist)
46,521 miles on 03.03 (Renault Specialist). Cambelt change.
54,062 miles on 11.03 (Renault Specialist)
60,449 miles on 04.04 (Renault Specialist)
66,377 miles on 11.04 (Renault Specialist)
73,697 miles on 03.05 (Renault Specialist)
79,315 miles on 08.05 (Independant)
84,104 miles on 11.06 (K-tec). Cambelt and tensioners changed.
88,449 miles on 02.07 (Rentech). Oil and filters (inc air filter).

It's completely and utterly standard, down to the standard cat and exhaust, everything on it works, it drives faultlessly and it's very, very clean inside and out :D

Zollo
24-04-2007, 12:17
Yeah, keep thinking I shouldn't get rid cos it's such a good example and I've spent loads on it! But I need something more sensible for work and fancy a change... not entirely sure to what yet...

MattyH16valver

Very nice that m8...totally standard too! Good luck with the sale...very nearly bought this myself. :)

Zollo

Cheers Matty

Purple - Moving on but not out. Will still be hanging round here (I'm sure some people will be please to know :P )... and doing the odd track day, so it'll have to be something half decent 8)

Zollo

Car now has a full 12 months MOT and will get six months tax when someone gives me a deposit!

It's also been washed, waxed, polished, hoovered and back-to-black'd and is now under a cover in my garage, not to be driven until someone comes to have a look at it...

Standard?!?!? I see no standard items up there ^^^^

Daz.

Zollo

Standard?!?!? I see no standard items up there ^^^^

No standard items up where?! lol

Too many loooooong motorway journeys for my ears to cope with and too juicy for my bank balance to cope with  . Plus it's a waste of a very good back lane weapon. Would keep it if I had the money. :(

Daz.
01-05-2007, 12:12
Arial! (I can never spell that right lol)

Exhaust! The backbox isn't downswept but I'll let you off with that one as I know they're a bugger to get hold of

And the third screw to the right on the inside is not a genuine williams screw - I believe its from a K reg grey RT judging by the quality and colour tone of said bolt.

:D 99.9999999% genuine then lol

Zollo
01-05-2007, 13:10
Ah, I see! Yep, you're quite right about the exhaust. Tis a Mat Brown special!

Wasn't aware that the aerial isn't standard :o

I'll take your word on the screw

Oh, and there's some non-standard floor mats too

Daz.

Zollo
02-05-2007, 10:09
Errrm.... well, I thought it was! I like it anyway - better than the saggy looking standard one.

Daz - you clearly don't love your aerials enough

im shocked at daz's lack of williams knowledge aswell !

Purple
02-05-2007, 10:36
It's also got non-standard UK rust. ie: less than usual :)

Zollo, are you based in London?

MatBrown
02-05-2007, 10:43
Southampton, dunno where he got the car from tho.

Mat.

Purple
02-05-2007, 10:49
Was just wondering if a car gets less undercarriage rust if it lives in a big city all the time, presumably with less salted roads.

MatBrown
02-05-2007, 11:26
Possibly, mine was from London.

Zollo

It's actually been down here around the coast its whole life. The original dealership that supplied it is only about 30 miles away from me. It's had a lady owner and one very caring owner previous to me, and it was barely used for more than a year a while ago, so I guess it's just one of the lucky ones!

summeh
02-05-2007, 12:21
aye zollo has the mintest willy i've ever seen.

Potential buyers please note the reflecting of the incredibly shiny paintwork! :P

Daz.

GOD DAMMIT!

Why is that unlike any other aerial renault have produced? I'm off to make humble pie

northy

same ariel as NLRG !

Purple
02-05-2007, 14:37
Mine looks like that, Daz. If you are talking about the longer thinner aerial, I thought they were more a phase 1 design.

Wobba
02-05-2007, 18:05
I can say this is a great car, and I know Matt is in two minds over selling it as it is a fine example. If I wasn't in such an uncertain financial situation I would snap it up myself.

Daz.
02-05-2007, 23:03
:ooomg:

I'm off - gonna buy a metro theres less hassle and aerial worrying :D

Zollo

Yeah will arrive on Sunday, just a shame I cant do anything relating to the idle/jerking issue until the cambelt has been replaced, dont want to risk it as its 3 years out of date (although it hasnt been used for 2 years)

looks a good car back then Chris!

Sure does Dean, I think the price shows that too!
