Do you have a record of you earnings? Just get a copy of this years rates and work it out for yourself. There charging you as your making late payments?

Was it your first year of being self-employed Fatboy? You'll get charged 1.5 times your actual tax bill in that first year.

Certainly not 3 times the amount though! :?

Why will you get charged 1.5 times zollo?

becuase you pay you tax bill currently and then half of your current/last bill so you are always in credit.

basically for tax year apr 05/06 apr i got my tax return in for it on december 28th(deadline is 31st)

but in that tax year 05/06 i was self employed for only 6 months october 05 to march 06 then i moved jobs and went back to PAYE).

but for the year 04/05 i did my tax return and got a a rebate...

to top it all i had a blazing row earlier with a silly bitch on the fone regarding this but they dont wanna know! if its on there computer screen then that is it! im gonna take this all the way and demand a written apology from the cunts!

As Jamie said - basically it just means you're half a year ahead in payments, so if you decide to stop being self-employed whilst oweing tax, the taxman has something put by.
