For sale is my pride and joy my Clio 1.8 16v. I bought this car in Aug last year but now looking for a newer car. Ive spent a fair ammount (over 1k) since owning it to keep it in the top condition its in today.
This car has had 3 registered owners. First being Renault Holden in Norwich as a showroom/testcar. Then sold to an old couple for the majority of the cars life. The car was then traded in again to Holden Renault by the old couple for a newer clio. The car then was bought by the owner I purchased it off, he had all four wheels refurbed and the rear arches tidied up to a very high standard. The condition of the interior compliments the miles of the car, hardly any wear on the steering wheel/the gear selections still visible on the gear knob, no rips in the seats and the side walls not collapsed, it even comes with the standard headunit with working steering wheel controls!!
Soon as I got the car home I gave it a full service with receipts to prove. Ive also been to Holden Renault to get a print off of all the work carried out there. I also have a 100% clear HPI check for this car.
Upon talking to the old couple that owned the car for the majority of its life, they informed me that the steering rack had been changed Feb 2006 along with new front disks and pads. They also informed me that the car had been serviced by their son and the service book filled in accordingly.
Serviced Parts:
Cam belt & Aux belt (28k)
Silkolene Pro-S 5w40 Oil & Filter (29k)
New gearbox oil (29k)
New Plugs (29k)
New rotorarm & dizzy (29k)
New Kinglead (29k)
New clutch cable
New top mounts
Coolant system flushed out
Brand new alternator not a refurb unit
New battery
New fuel filter
4 brand new yoko A359's 195/50/15 (covered 1.5k miles if that)
Subtle Mods:
Koni Sports rear dampeners
Avo 25mm front springs
De-cat (car registered before Aug 92 so no cat needed for MOT)
Magnex stainless steel exhaust system
Branded "Superchips" superchiped ECU
ITG Panel Air filter (29k)
For all of the above work done I have receipts for parts and labour.
Bad points and I will be honest:
The sunroof surround has 2cm of flaked off paint, there is no rust forming.
One front fog is cracked and the other is discoloured, however they both are 100% working.
Since the car was lowered the exhaust knocks slightly from time to time at slow speeds, this isnt causing any damage to the exhaust or car itself.
The normal power steering sqweek/whine from valvers when on full lock, if you have owned one before you will know what I mean, if not this is commern with this car but does not effect the working of the power steering at all.
A couple of paint chips, there is very little on the bonnet which is rare, im being very picky!
Due to its low miles this car does NOT suffer from the commern leeking sunroof, rusty rear arches, rusty tailgate, worn gearknob/steering wheel, collapsed sides walls on the front seats.
Ive tried to be as honest as possible with this description and any inspection by a professional is welcomed.
