I feel for the bloke with the scooby :shock: :twisted:
its not the first time its happened at donny, last year several cars at various shows was taken from the outer field car park which is 'patrolled' by attendents(my arse) not worth taking a car worth out there,
my brother has just come back from Donny today, apparently there was a lot of fighting on the camp site and someone got stabbed!!
These shows, Donny, Trax, Max Power Live (not so much now), attract this sort of behaviour, and is the reason why we dont go to these shows anymore as they are no longer enthusiast shows.
Apparently there was also 2 welsh birds that totally stripped off and were gettin jiggy with each other over some random persons bonnet in front of kids etc :roll:

Donny is chav as **** has been for years. Used to be awesome when it was just a hot rod show.

I went and took my car. It was shit and there was loads of shit cars there. Full of chavs, Ugly slags in leather clothes. Wont be going again!
Some bloke walked over to my car with his mates, looked at the engine and went "its just a standard valver lads, shit. Come one lads lets go"

ive never been to donny, went to donny south last year that was chavvy, also modifed nationals, and modified meyhem all chavvy camping was scary i ended up sleeping in my car 1) because it was freezing and 2) ppl were trying to set fire to the tents.
trax isnt chavvy imo and will be deff going this yr

judging by the responses on here i think you may be on your own!!!
from what i've heard unless you stay with your car all day theres gonna be dissapointment when you get back to it,if you look at some of the pics in other places of these types of events and the comments made by people who have been about them it sounds to me like nothing more than a glorified piss up with sparckly cars.
i know i wouldn't want some leather clad scratter or pissed up nob head crawlin or fallin over my car!

RSOC have moved national day from donnington for this reason, iirc 3 cosworths were stolen at last years show!!! Donnington also has a large pikey element that hover around the castle donnington area, these prob dont help any.

I wouldn't be surprised if the owner had some kind of breakdown after seeing that.
How ridiculous is it to pay £50 or so to get in to a chav brothel where you risk being stabbed or at the least some acne infected pill head skank dribbling all of the car before working up the courage to steal the side repeaters.

As much as i dislike imprezas that is out of order. I havent been to one of the big shows in years (trax in 1996 infact) lol, mostly small local shows classic cars, vw north west etc. Trax was good because at the time it was still ran by the ford clubs with other marque specific clubs invited (non of this "cruise here, there and everywhere clubs" :lol: ) so was a good show. I was debating going to trax this year but will think twice after seeing things like that!

Ford fair is ace, we used to go every year when Lee had his cossie or one of his many escort/Fiesta RS's.
Not been in a while, but I ahve an undying love for the Mk2 escort.

but.im talkin bout the proper fords.mk 1 scorts festa supersports lotus cortinas.capri rs3100s /gxl 3000/tickford etc etc etc.

im not sure mate.....but ife isnt all a 1/4 mile straight at a time...most roads have things called corners....and lets nbe honest.....the scorts have never been the best handling cars.

At most I would have thought it would be a Zetec 2.1, but more likely still the CVH. Presuming of course.
Dont forget the escort was used for rallying and was successful at it......
Hardly the worst handling chassis in the world.
yeah the mk 1s and 2s definately made their mark on the rally scene....as did clios.....but the mk3 scort???????

Why patronize when i asked a simple question?!, i thought the argument was 1/4 mile based and that flans would blow that escort away, now if you would have said flans would blow it away around a track then i would tend to agree as ive seen a few of these things called corners :wink:

not saying craig or flan are shit drivers...but thats a fair diff between the 2 times, same car, same spec afaik, who knows what flans would have been capable of?? i dare say that it was capable of runnin a fair chunk quicker than a late 13 pass......comparing against it in mine anyway which was capable of a low 14 fairly easily.
mmm i suppose it may/would have done, iirc flan only took it out the once or twice and obviously would have to get over traction problems with practice so i guess we'll never know :D
Saying that, any fwd car with 280bhp would have the same issues regardless of make/model/engine, just depends on setup and clios tend to be great 1/4 mile weapons as apposed to a lot of other fwd cars with big power.

Different cam timing and map since craig ran it which added a couple of mph to the terminal but not a massive difference.....Flan's old beast is deffo faster above say 60 mph but as you know Jon the start is everything on the 1/4 and flan did'nt have the conditions/practise....if you or I got ours hands on it I'd say high 12s would be nailed on....
lol............been a while mate..so think my starts would suffer lol.
