Ok guys and girls, I'm seeing if people are interested at the moment. If I get enough interest, it will be up for sale at the end of this week. Here's 'some' specs:

Clio 1.8 16v Naples red (1994 but on private plate)
66K on the clock with all MOTs to back this up.
Full renault service history.
New cambelt,
New racing clutch (power rated to 250bhp),
Proffesionally chipped, set-up and rolling roaded at GDI,
Racing cams, pulleys (also from GDI),
K-TEC 4-2-1 manifold,
K-TEC strut brace,
Magnecor performance HT leads (blue),
Powerflow full system with de-cat (have original cat),
Pipercross induction kit,
Proven 163BHP (rolling roaded at GDI with 2xprint-outs to prove)
Hardly worn discs and pads all round (about 500 miles),
16" BK mutlispoke alloys covered in Brand new Yokohama's all round (also on spare),
Angel eye headlight conversion,
Stainless steel dials (all working - pretty rare as I'm sure you all know!)
Kenwood flip down cd player with removeable facia (6-disc changer in glovebox),
Alpine sub and amp in the boot.
Smoked rear lights,
Absolutley no rust on the rear arches or anywhere else,
Full leather interior in mint condition,
HPI clear with paperwork to prove.
Private plate included in sale.

I have all receipts to back up all work carried out, plus shed-loads more that I can't remember (am writing this advert in the office, not at home!)
Still have original headlamps, cat converter and airbox that will be included.

This is a truely mint example of a valver. No tyre kickers or test pilots and 'especially' no CHAV'S!!!!

£3600 or very very near offer! I am in no rush to sell it so no silly offers! It is worth every single penny. Would suit an enthusiast. E-mail me at petefaiers_11@Hotmail.com or peterf@Britannia-storage.co.uk for some more pics and more info if you require it. Please note the stainless steel dials are not shown in the pics. I have also hoovered it since they were taken LOL!

Reason for selling - Moaning girlfriend and nagging parents! (Can't be bothered to argue with them anymore, I'm fighting a losing battle!)

More pics will be added this evening once I'm home!

Yes mate, to be honest only a few weeks ago, but I'm getting serious stick off the missus and the parents because:

A). It attracts the wrong sort of attention (comments from both the missus and parents)

B). I have to push it down the road in the morning to start it and cruise down the street with the engine off at night otherwise I wake both my parents up (the joys of living at home eh!!)

C). The missus thinks it "chavvy" and unpractical.
Quote "Why can't you get something like that nice corsa you used
to have" - Great.

I am gutted, but I'm sick to death of them complaining so I'm just biting the bullet and selling it. I will get my own back one day!!!!!!

Yep, it was on auto-trader for that much, but he massively underpriced it and needed cash. I got it off him for a lot less than what it was advertised on auto-trader for!

I think it always looks sus when someone buys a car like this then sells it a short while later....
As for people telling you what car you can & can't have then they cannot think much of you as they should want you to be happy & at your age you can tell them to stick it to be honest!
It is a gorgeous looking car though. Good luck :)

I agree, but when you keep getting hassle from poxy woman, its just not worth it. I would rather just sell it to shut the moaning cow up.

I'm sure all the male readers can back me up on that one.

Reference above comment about moving out - unfortunately I don't have a spare £100,000 lying around for a house, and if I did, I certainly woulden't be driving around in a renault clio.

For god sake. People, check out the link below. Where else would you find a valver with as much history (there is more hidden under that lot, I just coulden't fit it in the photograph!) Total piece of mind. Total minter. End of.

Im not knocking the car...its fine...but the price is way out mate.

i sold mine for £2k about a year ago and I deam myslef lucky to have got that. It was as mint as yours, probs more so since it was standard with it.

dont take it personally when people pass judgement...we are just being realistic.

Also, did I read it wrong, or did you say you piad alot less than the price it was advertised at previous to you buying it, £2500?

Peedee
22-03-2007, 23:10
patrick g_46. No offence mate, but if you're not interested in buying the car, don't bother putting stupid remarks on the forum. I'm not going to sit here arguing whether or not you think my car is worth the money, because quite frankly, I coulden't give a toss what you think. If you arent interested in buying this car, don't bother me. Lets leave it there.

I don't mean to offend dude, and if you want to get this reply deleted, then go for it!
wazza16v/nick on the forum sold his MINT N reg 432 Clio 16v Hybrid (with Williams engine), full service history, loads of paperwork (probably more than yours!) and he sold it for £2,600, doesn't that say something? the car was probably the mintest car on the forums!

I reckon if yours was mint and standard exterior and was rare like a J plate, you might have a better chance..

maybe try eBay!

I hate it when people's threads are stolen by people moaning about things being overpriced. BUT there's always an exception to the rule.

Is this a genuine advert?? Come on.. Over 3 grand. YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS. Which muppet would pay that??

Absolutely lovely car mate, but i think you need to listen to the general consensus on this one. £3.2k is VERY ambitious.

Im not denying its a mint car, but likewise, my sisters polo doesnt have a scratch on it, but that fact doesnt make it worth 50% more than its true value (IMHO what you are asking)

People tend to want standard cars too, not a vehicle thats already had someone else's mark stamped on it, and as nice yours may be, this might be to its detriment also.

Personally, i think it looks great and undoubtably its a desirable car, i just want you to have a chance of selling it.

All the best with the sale.

dont think you'll get that much. on autotrader theres a 172 for £3695. think you'll end up keeping it or you'll have to lwer the price like everyone else is saying.

Anyone want a mint ITB'd hybrid 10 meeeelion dollars?

I generally don't approve of questioning of pricing but when someone is clearly trying to sell on for a profit (at a silly price) I'll make an exception.

Appologies for bringing this thread back to the forefront of everyones attention but it just annoys me more and more everytime i go past this on here and on pistonheads.

Telling everyone you paid around the £2k mark for it and then trying to sell it for £3200. Even the £3000 its up for on pistonheads is nuts.

Its clearly a nice car dont get me wrong, but really, are you from the past?

2 or 3 years ago £3k would have been top whack for a valver like this.

I'll make you a genuine offer of £1800, im fairly sure thats reasonable.

If you choose to reject that which im fairly sure you will, all the best of luck with the sale. Keep us updated with the sale progress.
