What was the spec of the clio ?
Bloody newbies lol.
Its got a 1.8 turbo engine in it out of a golf/audi tt running around 280bhp iirc 8)
Were gonna say looks like you were driving like a fanny ie not very quick, but then saw how wet it was
lol ya, a combo of things, track was wet & very greasy (many spins on the day, one guy just about turned his car on the roof at craners), my driving & the cable bodge (was only getting 105ish down the straight, shouldve been 130mph), car was fine on the way up racing mates import scoob & having beaten many bigger cars on the road it was frustrating, a handful of cars on the day were awsome tho, rc developments car etc.
Nice one Haitch - were you on road tires ???
Very nice mate
You modified the car since you got it then ??? Was a monster when i went in it at Oulton with flan
i have had a new custom rad/intercooler & pipework put in by Pro-alloy, unfortunately the old evo intercooler was in a bad way from stones etc, the new one sits higher. i have a second bumper (work in progress!) which im cutting out the numberplate area to get more air in, smaller plate to be mounted to the side.
here you can see the old engine bay
Very neat mate - like the new rad
The bumper idea sounds nice - can u mount the plate on the splitter and lower edge of the bumper ?

Haitch, good vids, thought it looked a bit off the pace and just spoken to Andy a minute ago and apparently the bodge was only giving it 50% throttle  scary thought!
I'll be down there on Saturday probably if mine's done :D
it looks like the new plate will fit between the bottom open part of the bumper & the foglight hole, evo style, got some conduit to bring it out flush.
wouldnt mind a quick spin in the tb car m8, like to hear the noise as i never had the chance to fit them to mine. should be there about lunchtime if all is well. il be taking a spare cable to spa!
lol can't belive you didn't have full throttle, im trying to find the vids of when i was in oulten in it following the nana, you can hrae how much faster it is.
plus with that new intercooler set up that "doesn't" flow as well as the evo intercooler it will be interesting to see what it makes on the rr now GDI have tweeked it
does look good though.. 8)

i sooo need a turbo lol 8)
nice vids m8, ya you can hear the dif' there, at donny it felt & sounded strained due to the cable, the vids from spa should be very different, got an imola & 5 point going in very soon also. rr is next sat 31st, il keep you posted lol.
looking more like 2 to 3pm now.
I wont be picking mine up this Saturday now, prolly the following one, but when your there ask Andy to take you out in it, he knows I wont mind anyway :D
never got the chance m8, Andy was very busy & had a couple of m8's waiting to get home also, next time..

camera car is bout std williams pace maybe a bit quicker.....and the porka never came past me either ;)
nice m8, think il need to sort the suspension first! under hard braking round some twisty stuff today i felt like a man in a small boat in a storm. the back end pops up & the car wobbles badly, new coils (not keen on these avo's tbh) & better poundage needed on the front along with a full setup to make the most of it on track methinks.
thort it just had the adj dampers up front with higher poundage springs tbh mate lol.
maybe a switch to coilies would suit u, could swap the spring rates for £20-30 then to find a decent set up....instead of the £130+ for higher poundage springs to fit oe dampers.
not sure on the lb of the fronts, had to change them as it was sitting so low on the bumpstops there was no travel, causing the old exhaust to get worn/dented, the fmic pipework was low also so it was geting bashed over most speedhumps, at high speed i was worried about the sump as if you hit a dip it just dived into it, part of the suspension was crushed when i had a look. the new fmic & pipework sits a lot higher and cant be seen if you face the front of the car so its not an issue anymore.
on the good side, new mot & the cable is fixed so shes flying again as a m8's new import sti will testify ;-)
