On my valver that I scrapped I binned the complete heater assembly. I also drilled holes in just about everything lol. Get some 3" holes in the dashboard the metal there is well thick and its triple skinned. Also drill some 2" holes in the inner sills inside the car as they're triple skinned too.

Has it got a sunroof? Bin it, rivet metal sheet over the hole.

May well be, never seen anybody use perspex though, there may be a possibility that perspex could crack when riveted and is not as rigid as sheet metal , either way its much lighter than a heavy glass and sunroof mech etc.

the carbon cannister can be removed along with its bracket will save a good 3-5kg. its found just behind the front bumper on drivers side black cannister.
soundproofing that is stuck to the boot floor, will need a heatgun to remove.
grill section in the front bumper can be cut out, also the rear bumper can be hollowed out a bit as well

5 mile run every day is a good weight saver..
i lost 2 stone in a month when i used to run in competitions .. that was running in 50'c heat in the gulf lol.
it all counts lol
I heard goin to the toilet before you go on the strip can improve your 1/4 mile time by 0.1sec. PMSL
On a more serious note, the sound deadening and the carbon cannister removes quite a lot. I recently felt the weight of Winstons carbon cannister after he had removed it from the 'illiams and it was shockingly heavy.
:D
what do you do with pipework for carbon canister? block it off or loop it?
