hi im a newbie and ive bought a willy 2 because ive always wanted one so i got one and the gearbox has gone and is undriveable :( its taxed for two months mot,d till june is very straight and has never been in an accident it has different gold wheels from all the others i have seen the car is one owner near full renault s/history has a little rusting on back arches all the original paperwork including sales pack and sales invoice ££££invoices magnex stainless steel exhaust but the rest of the car is standard i have done 600miles then the box blew up and i cant afford to repair it i would like it to go to a good home thats why ive registered here offers are invitied by pm only the car will not be broken for spares and im not after another car :( be nice plz as im a bit upset to lose money on this car can sort some pics out if needed

111000 miles genuine with all mots to prove ther wer no symptoms it went bang cruising at bout 80-90 bit of whirring then an almighty bang hope this helps and the aa said not to drive it as it may damage more alex

Sounds like one of your gears has come of its axis and crunched and smashed against others.

If its good condition apart from the box id find the cash somewhere, get it fixed then sell it on either for what you paid (1800) or more, dropping a grand is a bit extreme, would cost you less to have a different box fitted!

also it has no sunroof and the first owner picked the alloys because he didnt want the original wheels and specified he didnt want a sunroof either the wheels are speedline corse alexx

mate...just sounds like the box mount has gone..a £45 fix from reno.....if at worst its pulled the circlips out n mashed the driveshaft thats a sum total of £250 for complete repair.

if it is the box a couple of hundred quid shud sort it.

can lads please stop calling me mate im a 20 year old girl and its kinda freaking me out i would love to keep the car but my fingers are burnt with it and i feel it just wasnt meant to be ,so im not going to fix her as im working all the time i need something reliable to get me too and from work so im going to use the money for a deposit for a crappy standard clio or similar but i will trully miss her as she is as good as i thought it would be apart from the g/box :cry:

lads lads lads its been on here a few days longer than ebay its pretty obvious the car isnt what your all after .one lad has been from leicster and seen it .it looks like it goin to sell off ebay for zero money and there is not much i can do about that i have really had my fingers burnt with this car ,so saying your having it and then not and then yes and then no is not the way to do buisness i hope some one nice gets this car and returns it to a real good state and can make from my loss :(

well lads and lasses it been short and entertaining with the ups and downs but my short lived reno love affair has come to an end for the sum of 771quid im happy at that the car is staying local ish to me and i will forward the new owner to here if he isnt already a member and hopefully it will make him a nice long lasting fun means of transport as for me i will be buying a rather dull fiesta st crap but reliable so good bye and its been nice
