Clio Williams vs Rover 220 Coupe Turbo 'L;' reg

Was driving back from lunch today when this Rover 220 turbo came whizzing up behind me. Even tried to undertake me but i refused to let him pass.

He seemed pretty quick. But unfortunately there was not enough clear road for a race... Anyone raced against one of these?

nope, but hear these can be pretty damn fast... having said that show it a corner and they will be in the hedge if they try and keep up...

They are pretty quick mate, under 7 secs to 60 and will do gettin on for 150 standard.

They're fastish above 70mph up to that they're shit. Standard they're about valver pace. Can be tuned easily though, but they handle shit.

I'm dirvin my dads 1.8 vvc one which is slower than the turbo (i think).... Reckon it would be a fairly good race altho if the rover had had stuff done it may be a lil quicker, they don't handle as bad as everyone says either!

i owned a coupe turbo a few months back and it was fast. pretty good handling which suprised me. not as good as the williams all round.

wind the boost out and it does fly.

sold on and now have a 220 gsi turbo which is the hatch. raced it against the williams and it was neck and neck. 0-60

shall confirm when ive sorted it out!!!
