View Full Version : sabre heads
Just thought this may interest some of you at the bottom are flow figures of Sabre Heads head work compared to standard on the F7P/R engines.

possibly some of the most user unfriendly data to read, whats wrong with a graph! lol.
Not a fan of a few things and I could nit pick for ages at some of the stuff on that site, but it would be cuntish to do so, were all trying to make a living.
When are the rest of you guys gonna put your figures would be really interesting to see the differences.
Dont worry, i'm just waiting for some spare time.
Also been working on a CNC valve job that will give great gains with very little work, infact i dont touch the port at all bar the valve job, meaning uber cheap and uber good.
Heres a short clip of the machining process, nothing really happens until 1:30, and even then its not exciting to those who arent interested in seats lol.

I need to get on the bench again...back-up cd's didnt have back-ups of flow data from these heads. no biggy.
yea, i just stand there going pfffffffffft.....zrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... ...mrrrrmmm.
They sound like noises of frustration...much like when u cant tie your shoe laces...or eat spaghetti nicely  lol
i tell you, its pretty hard using the thumb wheel.
u need that adapted mate, to suit your toe/finger
i've been watching 'my left foot'.
Its not so bad....its just hard to twizzle a fork.
i wandered what all the funny noises was last time i was there, there wasnt even any machines in the building

Interesting vid for someone who ordinarily wouldn't have a clue (me) about these types of thing. Cheers :)
Well other people wouldnt cut seats in that way because they wouldnt be able to.
Traditional manually fed form tool cutting is what 99.9% of others use, like in that sabre website.
Guessed so. Impressive tool!
1. Wow, that thing must cost a lot.
2. Wow, that thing must need to be pretty precise.
3. Wow, that attachment/head must be rather hard wearing.
lol, its my pride and joy.
1.Yes.
2. 3 microns accuracy repeatable.
4. CBN (cubic boron nitride), cermet, coated ceramic, PDC diamond etc etc. But with such a small cutting tip and an eye on quality i tend to change cutter fairly often.
