Hi guys,
My valver is annoyingly starting to develop flat spots in the rev range.
Its a similar felling to hitting the rev limiter, obviously not as strong, thats the best way I can describe it.
It will power through it but you can just feel the reluctance of the engine to pull.
Its most noticeable in 2nd and 3rd gear when you get 3 1/4 of the way up towards the limiter.
Its got full service history, had one owner before me and has been very well looked after. Its just gone over 82k.
I had it serviced a month ago, spark plugs were replaced, they were shot and I hoped that this would cure the problem. It didnt really, so a mate of mine said change the fuel filter cause valver filters clog up pretty bad. Did that and it still hasnt really made much difference.
I dont know where to go from here, any suggestions?
I don't rag it from cold, i let it warm up EVERY morning before I set off.
It doesnt use any water, isnt burning any oil, so I cant put my finger on it.
The only obvious thing I can think of is new HT leads but surely something this simple won't cure the problem?
Any ideas guys?
Leigh
