Got a Williams 1 for sale.

In quite good condition, just needs a bit of TLC in places. Tailgate is rust free compared to most.
On 95k with lots of old service history, last owner lost some of his receipts but all work was carried out at same garage so should be easily traceable.
Only had 4 previous owners, 2 of which were dealers.
Taxed till the end of Jan, MOT runs out 29th Jan but will be taking it for a test in the next couple of days so should have 13 months MOT on it very soon.
Drives very well and everything works as it should inc the dials, 4 good matching tyres, recent new steering column and front brakes, car still has the dealer plates, sticker and tax disc holder.
Clutch is light compared to my other Williams, have no record of the cambelt change so would recommend this doing asap for piece of mind.

Want £1900 with 12/13 months MOT, will be going in Autotrader for £2k.

Not really after any swaps or p/x, apart from maybe a very cheap 16v.

It's number 0135.

Priced to sell, no haggling, i just ask for the price i want.

Took it for an MOT today - failed on brake imbalance, 1 brake bulb out and a spring was out of it's seat.
Was too late to take it back today so in the morning it should have 13 months mot on it.

looks like a bargain to me, better than a lot i've seen recently - I'd go and have a look if I didn't already have one

Hello all, newbie here, just signed up to post on this thread as quite interested in this. Am looking for a little hot hatch as a bit of a runaround day to day job but wanted something a little bit special so Willies seem to fit the bill. Budget is around £3k and original plan was to try to buy as late as one as poss (willy3). However this one at this price would give me a grand to sort the rust, give it a service and do the cambelt. Is that a realistic budget for those things or am I under estimating do you think. Would I guess be nice to have a 1 as they have the famous plaque that is missing from the 3's :D

Only other problem is that I am not local, but if it is a good buy (and the other comments indicate that the price is competitive) then could travel.

I can get the cambelt done at Hillpower for £200, add say £150 for the rest of the full service and that would leave you with £650 to spend on bodywork.
