Well, just had a go against one of these, basically i'm walking towards my car, one goes past with 2 lads in there both looking, i gets in my car, and thought.....**** it, lets have a do, and see what all the fuss is about, gets behind him, heading towards, a big fast a road, ( private of course ) as soon as we aproach the round about, he just ****s off, no waiting for a big enough gap for the both of us to give it a fair comparison, so no problem, if thats how where playing thats how where playing! i nipped out in a gap, integra's giving it the beans round the ra, so i floor it, keep an even gap, through the ra and through a left onto the a road, he gets held up by someone, so i'm now sat on his bumper, waiting to get smoked as soon as theres a gap, he pulls out indicators on, as do i, waiting for it to start to pull away through the higher revs, BUT, i'm sat on his bumper, no problem what so ever, could have pulled out on him had there been room, i was very suprised by this, don't think he and his mate understood why either, so i'm quitley confident now after this little 3rd gear blast, next overtaking move, he went to take a car, i'm sat with him and ended up pulling past both of them through 3rd and 4th, end of story!

whats the specs on these integra's? i was dissapointed with its performance and would feel confident going up against another one, they much quicker than a ctr? i know there awsome machines, but this one did not impress me, think he'll think twice about taking on another williams after that :shock:

( and yes he was giving it some! )........... maybe i was just a bit MAD!

Ah right its the older one, i thought it might be the newr version. Craig has just bought one so im sure he will post up. Id of thought they would be ever so slightly quicker than a williams tbh :)

sounds like he couldnt drive tbh...

they some are 185bhp some are 200bhp, depends on engine and wether its JDM or UK car...

my car has zorst ( baffles are fooked, sounds like a bag of spanners,lol ), de-cat, filter and hillpower chip btw. oh yeah and a lead foot!

what do they run up the 1/4 these tegs?

I would imagine a std teg DC2 would be doing high 14`s 1/4 mile so I'd imagine you would be quicker....they come into their own on the track but then so do Willies

ive had one of these up my arse on a dual carriage way while driving 106 at bout 50mph

i pulled into slow lane and floored it, stayed in 3rd to 100mph and he couldnt get past me in fast lane, i had a friend in car too. by end of 4th gear he was about level and i backed off as we were approaching 125mph and sods law i'd get pulled up.

so from 50mph-125mph he pulled about 1-2 car lengths on a 120bhp 1997 pug GTI, with 30 stone's worth of men in it.

The single headlight cars are the JDM versions. They have 200bhp in Japan, due to the 100RON fuel they have out there, but they're probably closer to the 187bhp of the UK versions when using UK fuel.

Either way, you did very well! Just about staying with one would be do-able, but overtaking it :shock:

1.8 16v front wheel drive vs a 3.0lt v6 255hp mid-engined rwd clio? I think the honda did really well tbh! Put them on that track and watch the teg run circles round it...

Its the vtec in top gear that does it on that Vid....I would expect to be about the same as that (maybe quicker in current state) but when I hit 5th I'll probably be running out of steam....the teg will hit vtec and keep going again lol

Defo a driver error in the shape of the teg driver!

I have a DC2 and it is by far the best car I have ever driven! All the fuss about the Teg is very real! all I can say is go and have a drive in one!! Reliability is just bliss compared to the Renault! I adore the Williams and it is a great car, but please just have a proper go in a Teg and see for yourself what a great car it acually is!

Maybe it had a power sapping filter? I did read somewhere where someone had a teg and it wasn't as quick as it should have been...put std airbox back on and it made it much better...can't see it bring a SiR as they are poo aren't they?

theres a chance its an Integra Si, but i doubt it. An integra Si isa 1.8 with no more power than a mildly tuned 1.6 b16 like mine, probably 175 bhp odd. Which i would very much doubt win against a v6 or even be close.

SiRs are civics and crx's. Integras have Si and Type R.

You have a Teg too??

No mods on the Teg, its totally standard. FHSH and low previous owners.

The interior has been removed due to some slight issues!, It started with a small boot leak, which has ended in a massive strip!

Its made a massive difference to performance, usually the spare is out too but I did a late night blast upto and around the Lakes not long ago, didnt wanna be without it! just incase.

Having tried to have a dabble against a former clio owner's Teg I doubt a properly driven one wouldn't be quite a bit quicker, std/std.
