View Full Version : valver throttle possition sensor
hi has any one had probs with there throttlebody sensor on there valver, mine is giving me jip, it currently idles at 2000rpm and only shows the throttle 80% open when its floored,
had rolling road and analysis done,
currently car running 151bhp in this state, so there should be some more power to come
cant find a new sensor to buy, have to buy the whole throttlebody at vast exspence, does anyone know where i can buy one
can any one help me out
cheers Finlay
I think I have a couple of throttle body's complete with the sensor, if you dont mind second hand.
But, what do you mean it was only showing 80% throttle,,,, They had diagnostics which showed the sensor was reading 80%?
If so, you can re-adjust them.
What was the fuel curve like?
yea when the garage hooked up there diagnostic gear they said when the throttle was floored the sensor was only showing/telling the engine that the throttle was only 80% open, they tried to adjust it but were unable to resolve the problem and said it was the throttle body possition sensor that was knacked and was needing to be replaced but i cant find any one who will sell me the senser on its own but if you ve got second hand that are ok then thats spot on
how much do you want for them
cheers Finlay
