anyone got a 360 on here that can give any advise please??? looking at buying one but dont know whether to wait for the PS3, a few people have told me too.
What is the online gaming like on the 360?? and is there any interuptions when using one of there wireless connections?? also best games on it at the mo, heard gears of war is very good??

it's difficult to compare them as the PS3 is only out in Japan and the states... it got slated in America though...
imo 360 all the way, I had 2 PS2's both of which just died from regular use, shite... vowed to never bother with Sony consoles again, build quality is crap.
360 is great online, PGR3 is one of my fav games online as is FNR3, but only against mates as the nobs you get online just chat shit and use cheesy exploits in the game AI.

also saw on play.com that there selling the PS3 on pre order for £550 wth 3 games, but apperently there has been no announcement as to sonys plans as to the online gaming yet...

Sony all the way for me. Just never really been a fan of micrsoft since the first x-box. The controller was horrible, the console itself was far too big for my liking and i wasnt overly impressed with the games on offer so i never even contemplated a 360 after being so put off by the 1st one. Just personal opinion i suppose but im sticking with Sony.

japan is where its at. ignore what the "yanks" say. after all, they are saying that they are winning the war in iraq.
the japanese have given the ps3 the royal thumbs up. as per the previous sony releases, the ps3 releases will only get better.
my ps2 is 5 years old, and hasnt failed me yet.
one of my mates is working with the ps3 development kits and he has told me they arent all that. graphically the games are poor in comparison to the 360 altho they will get a lot better as companys learn how to get the full potential out of the console but the main concern is the controllers which feel very cheap, are having loads of problems with the motion sensors on the controllers and apparently there's no rumble function on them either.
and he is a bit of a sony funboy as well!!

Im sure the ps3 is gonna be a great machine but tbh its not gonna be mind blowing in comparison to the 360. Get a hdtv and a 360 mate, you wont regret it. They are cheaper now and their are plenty of games out worth getting. Xbox live is also brilliant, i love playing fifa and cod 3 online. 8)

Probably could plug it into the laptop. It comes with a ethenet cable. I plug my xbox straight into my modem for the best connection.
check out toys r us and also game station, have some good deals on atm. 2 games prem pack extra controler and a quickcharge kit for 299

Probably could plug it into the laptop. It comes with a ethenet cable. I plug my xbox straight into my modem for the best connection.
You will still either need an RJ45 cable or wireless adapter for your 360 to connect to the net... you cant have it just plugged into the laptop... it wont get a connection that way... You will also need a 4 port router for this (if you decide on ethernet rather than wireless) also if you have an adsl modem you will need a hub to plug in more than one ethernet cable :D
well actualy you can plug it into the laptop, but it will require bridging the connections and using ics on windows with dhcp to get an ip
but thats all far 2 much hassle just get a switch or hub connected to a router :D
prem pack came with a cable when i got mine

If you use ICP you have to ensure that you have the non NAT setup on your router else it wont work.
I cant use ICP cos ive got a constant VPN connection to work :(
Would be so much easier imo :(
either way get it on xbox live for the win :D
im waiting for the ps3 to come out, see how good it is(wont buy straight away! wait for prices to drop)
but ive had my ps2 since they came out and never had a problem, works spot on and is quiet as feck! and its had alot of use lol
although the xbox360 is tempting, but will wait n see!

def decided to get a xboc 360, had a look around on the net and best offer seems to be games station £299 for console plus gears of war, and pro evo. will nip in town this weekend and have a look

going into town tonight to get the xbox, what games do you recommend
after seeing the PS3 graphics now I'm sold on the idea it's just a DX10 PC rebranded as a console, hence the price and lack of anything new compared to the 360. Think Gamespot have a direct comparison of the graphics, the PS3 looks washed out and lacking something... still, graphics dont make a good game. Also got to love the fact it comes with a PS2 pad lol.

yeh fancied the look of gears of war, rainbow 6 vegas i think its called, and pro evo.
i have gears of war and vegus both great games :D
Battle field 2 is also cool and i would say get PGR 3 and probably dead or alive as its a great fighting game

360 all the way! I was a hardcore sony fan before, but I got fed up with waiting for the ps3 and its ridiculous price. 360 rocks, and live is absolutely awesome, I cant see ps3 touching it!

Fifa is a massive step up on the 360. Imo its still the better of the 2 on the ps2, ive always loved pro but fifa has me on the 360.
it's a massive step up from Fifa 94 on the Sega Megadrive... wouldn't go any further than that though.
horses for courses, I like the realism of PES6 and being able to play more realistic football, not spam shots into the top corners all the time to wooden animation and uninspiring passing.

yup, and it's completely gash like the rest of them lol. used to love them until I played ISS and reaslised how bad they are. i try them once a year out of sentiment :lol:

hmmm, well imo pro this year is dull and boring. I had all the other pro evo's on the ps2 and never bothered with fifa but this year fifa is defo better. Yeah that's the thing wih all online gaming, especially on the PC. You get the daylight-fearing nerds in their pathetic little "clans". Still, I might get a 360 next year and actually have an up-to-date console for once (I've only just bought an XBox)!

yup clan gimps are extremely ghey!
it's £40 a year mate, well worth it as you can play the demo's for free and download HD movie trailers and they have the shows on there in video blogs for things like E3 etc etc.
