mines got asda stuff in it or summit, whatever me dad had lying about and its been fine for 2 years nearly, no ill effects. i flushed the system first tho several times then ran it for 500 miles, drained it, flushed and refilled again.
the bloke in the shop looked it up and its the red 1
I got the type d premixed from gsf which comes in a renault bottle which is genuine stuff.
You can get type c from renault which you mix yourself, and that is nice and cheap.
The renault type d is green and the type c is blue.

^^ Yep! It's a shopping trolley with a big engine. Put some in, keep it topped up and everybody's happy.
PS. Buy that BB Tuning ready-mixed stuff and I'll slap you!
My rad has been leaking so much lately and, due to it being on and off more than my ignition, I haven't actually got any anti-freeze in at the mo.

make sure u put some in before the big freeze! i'm restoring a 5 at the mo that had been left with no coolant in, ive had to fit a new lump as frozen water = expantion = cracked block/head rad etc...... :(
as for coolant you want the proper renault green stuff! it comes redy to put in, but for some reason its cheaper from gsf than from renault!? £15 5ltrs

Yes that's the stuff I'm talking about! What kind of numpty can't mix some anti freeze! Why would anyone wanna pay £15 for what amounts to about 1.5 litres of coolant and a large bottle of tap water? Just cuz it's green doesn't mean it's got some kind of Renault enahncing powers! It's not engine oil. Just get any stuff and make sure it stays topped up! 8)
