went for a quick play yesterday and had a couple of runs, not much in it at all, Chris' has the legs lower down, mine clawed it back further up the rev range and in the higher gears. Vids to follow shortly, will prolly put them on yousendit so every man and his dog cant see it... need to do a sneaky reg plate edit! lol

wow sounds interesting is chris' fully stripped out with buckets in now?

My old willy and his were pretty much dead even....before he stripped out.

I can imagine mine struggling against a quick un' chris/ gaz's if I got caught below 4k mine is mapped for economy below that and does'nt have the pin sharp response and pull that it does after 4k

Was a great few blasts but defo very quick in higher gears. Although I had Rob in with me, Jon was running full interior whereas mine is stripped now so it evened it self out. I was impressed with mine lower down but as the speeds increased the power difference became more obvious.

I have uploaded the vid on youtube as there is no indication of speed on the vid and you can't see the reg...I'll post the link if you want

Cheers

good lad Chris, get it linked mate, was well impressed with yours lower down. Like Martin's it doesn't really come alive until 5k+, it's keeping it in the power band with the long gearing... those 60mph starts I should have just thrown it in 2nd ;) lol

That rolling first gear start one sounds amazing though with the windows open, traction was a slight issue though! pmsl

Mine is now without rear seats, rear cards and carpet plus centre console and has 2 Cobra Suzukas with 4 points. I reckon about 50-60kgs in all (based on the rears weighing 25kg). The main diff is the cold air feed...when it was mapped it made about 188bhp without the airfeed...lifted the filter up to get some air to it and it rose to the 195bhp and 175lb/ft with a big gain midrange as well.

Before it used to pull well then come on cam and pull even better (obviously lol) but no it seems to keep getting quicker all the way through the revs instead of it dropping off high up.

(ignore the terrible editting...was in a rush lol)

lol at the footage at the end

Well impressed with cuppy there especially with you being 2 up... seems to pull real well...Jesus' just leaves after 90mph with that power though

You gonna run the 1/4 mile in that spec Chris....reckon the weight loss will get you 13s...?

I reckon it could be m8....seems better although I'm still getting used to the lower limiter...over th 1/4 it should be interesting tough

if it was running 14.1's on the Rsport it should easily crack 13's in stripped form now I'd reckon. It's deffo a quickun though... we should have stopped completely for the 1st gear run I reckon too, thinking about it there was loads of time and room... everyone loves the runway ;)

faf at the end - Whats all that abooot?

I'm really impressed with the cup CHRIS - If I wasn't such a Williams nut it would be very tempting getting a cup and stripping it

Kinda pissed off too now cus I'll be spending all this money soon on the Willy and it'd probably be cheaper getting a cup and taking all the gubbins out!

i assume the cup is back on the road now Chris?

Also, fancy using 'the runway' and not sending me an invite, you're all of 2 minutes from my house!

Good comparison that, shows the different gearing well.

Oh and is this runway anywhere near me? there never seems to be a runway near me lol
