How much does an engine and gear box go for these days.
I saw an engine on ebay the other day go £800 with about 80K on the clock, does that sound steep?
which engine and which gearbox? if its anything mk1 renault related @ £800 with anymore than 30k then yes it is steep

Ahh didn't know that...
Well i'm gonna be braking my Willy 3 soon and just seeing how much I should let the box and engine go for.
I don't have the tools (and time) to remove the gear, so it will be the bare shell along with the suspension.

£800 aint bad if you get a willy box and a 2.0 engine imo.

For a good Williams engine your looking at £600, gearbox £200, ecu £75.
Mat.
not always the case^^^^^^^
boxes iv had from £50 -£130 .........engines from £50 -£350
illusion i can help you remove the engine, im confident we could do it in a day, it will be alot easier to sell that way.

Cheers Midge,
I'm looking at renting a crane now, so i'll give you a shout.
all about being in the right place at the right time... but infinicar will gaurente the engine works!!! you'd hate to fit it and find out its f*cked
£800 is steep but people out there pay it... i've sold a few for 600-650 mark with an ecu and my last one for £450 as i needed the cash...
i find some times there is loads for sale and all £400 then a few months later only one and its £800
its worth what soneone is willing to pay ;)

Well mine had a top end rebuild in March 2004 and has 275 piper cams.
