mines has been noisy for the last 10,000 miles and the car still drives fine.
I can live with it I suppose.
I wanted to change the stupid paddle clutch my car has courtesy of the previous owner anyways, and was thinking this would be a good excuse to do it.
But my main concern was that it may damage something else, now I know it doesn't I'll do it sometime in the future.
What does a noisey thurst bearing sound like?
a rattle basically coming form the gearbox, that goes away when you put your clutch in.
Can't really tell when driving, due to the noise of engine/exhaust. Can tell best when sat in traffice or ticking over.
It's a bearing on the clutch arm (I think) or its in that geenral vicinity anyways.
clutch release bearing... it slides on to the end of the fork and does all the pushing against the clutch.
as said above, don't worry about it... you will get a new one with a new clutch kit.
In my case as my clutch as done f all miles, is it worth replaceing? Will this damage any other components?
No it won't.
Was it replaced when the clutch was replaced?
im still on the original, its only done 30k
