an people think they can piss on our 4 motion which has more torque than the TDi. PMSL.

No it doesn't - the Mk4 GT TDi and the Mk5 GT diesel both have 235lb-ft torque, but the V6 has 200lb-ft. So there :P :wink:

twas a mk5 - I know the willy had more low down grunt than a valver but its still nowhere near enough!

max torque of a TDi is 177ft/lb which is less than 200 thankyou.

I think you may be referring to the "sproty diesel" GT TDI which apparently is claimed by VW that it has more torque than a porche boxster, same claim that Seat make on their Cupra diesel.

I'm fully aware that 177 is less than 200, but thanks for pointing that out :?

There are loads of versions of the TDi; the old 1.9 TDi will be the one with 177lb-ft, but that motor only has about 110bhp and is poo. Yes, I'm talking about "sproty one", the same one Daz had a race with, and that one has more torque than your blokes 4motion :)
