View Full Version : VALVER ENGINE NEEDED QUICKLY THANKS
Hi again guys sorry to keep posting hope you can help me. Spoke to my mechanic who said he would rather do a straight swap with a 1.8 16v rather than the 2.0. Said he can do it wed or thurs so cheered me up a bit. Have found a renny 19 16v engine on ebay, will it fit? If not anyone got an engine I can buy? lol. What do they go like with cams? Cheers lads
what is wrong with yours fella, i have a bottom end there with nothing wrong with it, its just sat there gathering dust, just needs head swapping over from yours, let me know
Hi matey yeah my BE is fooked. You cant turn it over by hand so that means the BE is knackered yeah? Oh and by the way im very interested just need to confirm my head is ok? Is there anyway I can tell if there is damage to the head without taking it off? Thanks, Rob.

not really
Ok thanks, might aswell find a complete engine then eh? Will a renny 19 one go no probs? :?
why don't you try posting in the right sections....

ren 19 engine will fit but remember that there isnt a mounting hole on the ren 19 manifold for your ISCV, so best to put ur clio manifold onto ur 19 engine. I used a 19 manifold and idle was cack, i put my clio one on and it worked a treat.
Good luck matey :)

plus many ancilleries of the renny 19 anre different as i found out! but you do have everything you need mate, tbh there wont be anything wrong with the head if the b/e has siezed as it should still be timed up, just not able to move!
Sorry about the wrong section, in a bit of a rush to find an engine. lol. When you say the manifolds are slightly diff, am I going to be using my valver inlet manifold or exhaust one? Thanks again.

I've got a complete Valver engine forsale (as soon as i remove it lol) or have one in bits which needs re-building but is in excellent condition.
I may also have a complete one under the bench but need to check to see if it's a 19 or a clio
