I had some crazy trojan / spyware get on my computer today which basically hijacked my desktop putting crazy porn ads all over. Then put fake windows pop up offering a 'spyware fixes' well basically I got some trial spyware shizzle and blitzed it....got rid of all the shite but I still can't change my desktop background to how it was....ie willy pic instead of the plain blue it used when it was jacked.

Scanned for spyware again but theres nowt on the computer now.... :?

Open the jpeg in IE or firefox. Right-click over the jpeg and select "set as desktop picture". Or use a 3rd-party jpeg software, like IrfanView, to set the jpeg as desktop picture.

I've had a couple of those trojan bollocks. I blitzed the trojan and then did a system restore to a date before the attack. Try that.

^^^as above^^^

Restore your PC back to an earlier date.

Thats the best way to get rid of all the trails.

If i cant get rid of something like than i sometime get task manager up and see whats running and what shouldnt be running. Hunt it down and delete it
