astra mk1 1.8 8v - injector info please

my friend has a mk1 gte 1.8 8v
summat has gone wrong with 1 of the injectors
he dosnt know a lot abot them apart from it looks like a bolt on type rather than a clip on type
can any 1 shed some light on this so i can ask/find out what he needs to buy

i have put wanted posts on mig and mk1 owners site but i dont know what im asking for :?

has any body got any for sale

p.s also still need wiper arms and head linning

he has hunted round scrap yards but all seem to be differnt to his ?

nyk - no its a black 1 just been back on the road for a few weeks he has had it stored waiting to be fixed for a few years
its not mint or owt but it is solid
went up the other night to compare with mine but it sounded more like a subaru with the injector on pot 1 broke :lol:

You dont seem to find many cars more than 5 years old in the scrap yeards nowa days.

Have you checked all the injectors are pulsing? They have two clip things on these that hold the injectors on and you cant remove them without removing the whole fuel rail.

Could need a replacement injector if its def duffed or maybe just the bolt ons to resecure it??

If I remember correctly they are secured in a similar way to this 5th injector. **Bottom right of pic Dave, does it look similar to this?**

i havnt seen the injector myself so no idea
he did swap them around and 1 is deffo dead
he is going scrapyard hunting again tomorrow

Ant sin a Mk1 astra GTE in donkeys.

Best bet is the specialist breakers in the back of the autotrader.

I'd advise him to have a ring round.
