thought reno said 72k
72k or 5 years (i think same as valver) but haynes recommends 36k, as would i if u thrash it regularly.
Reno say 72k or 5 years, most people I have spoke to suggest 36k or 5 years to be on the safe side.
5 years if it doesnt hit that milage seems to be ample... the previous owner of my car didn't do any miles at all, thus only got to about 60k on the clock when the cambelt snapped and expensive engine rebuild... still the original cambelt and it was 11yrs old !!!!
cheers dudes! had mine done (as per old paperwork within the history of the car) at 72k now on 93k and that was done 3 years ago! so plenty of time as yet!
I thought 75K then every 35K?
every 72k or 5years , mine did 82k and 9 year lol before changed
belt still looked fine
I suspect mine had done well over 100K, they don't break often but when they do :(
yeah thats it, not that commen for them going but when they do it isnt cheap to fix!!!!
i looked at the bill my previous owner had for fixing the damage caused, replaced 16 valves and cost them close to 3k !
Yeah for williams and valvers its 72k and 5 years, mine is being changed atm i had the belt snap on my 1.2 about a year ago and i think the guys said 4 years or 32k for the none 16v clios due to the 16v's having an upgraded belt.
Btw if anyone wants a cam belt i have one for sale £20 Dayco belt from BBperformance new and unused..
Was going to use it on my change this weekend but baught a kit in the end and am having all the tensioners replaced at the same time, so its avaiable if anyone wants it :)

mine was done around 70k.
Every cambelt change, change the tensioners as this proves to be costly in the long run
My cambelt was changed at 65k, recently(last week) i was getting a terrible noise from the cambelt area, under further inspection the tensioners hadnt been changed and the bearings in the tensioners were truely shagged, paid £100 for the cambelt kit, changed the water pump belt, cam belt and tensioners for £150 all in, is it cheap? this guy im using is ex reno!
150 quid for the work and the kit @ 100 ? or just 100 for the kit and 150 for the work?
if it was 150 for the lot then £50 labour is awesome means they worked for about £10 an hour which is nice :)
i Just had mine done on the valver was 59 quid for the kit from renault and 120 quid for the work off 2 mates.
Although if i had the time i would have done it myself
Did my clio cambelt at the following intervals.
1) 70k km (about 44k miles)
2) 120k km (about 75k miles)
3) 170k km (about 106k miles)
Also changed water-pump, aux belt and most of the pulleys during cambelt work. So far so good.

Was down in Sydney for a couple of weeks. And generally lurking around the forum since I got back. As well as trying to get my renautcliowilliams domain correctly pointed here. Must say, lotsa of new people around.
The tropical williams is running perfectly (as it almost always does, knock on wood). But broke yet another wheel stud the other again, heh.
Cheerio.
