View Full Version : R19 Mount
Hi
I have read about adding the R19 mount to the 16v/Williams before, but forgot about it till Northy mentioned it here;
http://www.williamsclio.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14683&highlight=r19+mount
has any one got any guides, pics or general information on them, what exactly you need from the R19, also is it just the 16v or the lesser models???
I have replaced all three mounts with genuine Renault mounts about 500miles ago, and I'm still getting quite allot of movement!
Thanks
Patrick
the mount is avaliable new from renault. Its where i got mine from. Dont forget to order new nuts and bolts for it aswell.
You do need to lift that side of the engine up to fit it as it carnt be done without.
If u have a valver subframe you need a differant mount as the one i have R19 is suited for a williams.
Its also known as a Group A gearbox mount
Thanks Northy,
Yes it's a valver subframe, So any idea's on what mount I would need?
I don't think my Renault dealer would grasp that I want a R19 mount for a Clio!
I have a engine crane so lifting the engine is no problem.
Also the dog bone mount I have is a standard Renault item, is it worth filling the gaps with this 'tiger seal' stuff or getting a uprated one from Hill Power?
u can rotate and fill the dogbone - ive just rotated mine.
why buy one when u can do it yourself.
clio night and day had the mount from searching.

Northy - When you say roatate it how do you mean? Just tirghten up the rear bolt with the mount hanging down then turn it up the way and tighten the front?
pull out the rubber part, rotate 90degrees from standard - refit and seal with tiger seal or similar.
Richy sent me this, this is obvously for the williams subframe
but part numbers are
7700845018 mounting plate
7700801543 mount rubber
7703034122 nut
7703101296 bolt(may need 2 or 3 etc)
Thanks Lunner;
So am I correct im saying I just need a different mounting plate............from the 'Night + Day Clio'? (is that a 1.2?)
