chipped ECU

Will a chipped ecu allow a valver with a decat s/s zaust pop and bang! :P

I am going to pick danny's up on saturday and just wondered!? also what are the other pro's??

my valver is chipless and that spec wit decat n zorst n mine pops n bangs, depends on the zorst i think more than anything, if u boot it in 2nd then let off and drop revs from bout 6k to 2k then throttle back on again it pops like fook in mine! :twisted:

lol i think mine is a k tech zaust or a bb tuning one not sure!!! doesnt the ecu increase the fuelling???

not sure tbh, usually its gonna give u higher rev limiter and probs mess wit fuelling a bit, but am not sure if it'll make a none popping exhaust pop!! :P

as coops says it generally more to do with the exhaust system you run.

a free flowing exhaust with only a rear silencer will allow more unburnt fuel through the system on the over-run which explodes when it comes into contact with the hot exhaust system! mine pops and bangs like a mofo!

to be honest a popping exhaust aint gonna make the car go any faster....just means your wasting fuel but it does sound good! :twisted:

popping etc shortens the life of your valve seals.. ie you melt them
