Will a gearbox off a 1.2 clio (old shape) fit onto another old shape 1.4 RT?

If it's the 1.2 energy then it'll definately fit. The 1.2 and 1.4 are pretty much the same engine, but different displacements.
didnt the 1.4rt have a RSI gearbox?

the 1.4 S had an RSi box not the RT
What box is an rsi box anyway?
Could a JB1 box take 120bhp or so without braking do you think?

chris h seems to think it can take 137 lol
im gunna try it if i get another g'box failure
If your gonna use a JC1 box don't bother with the 027 its a pile of piss.
Make sure you find a JC1 053 found in the Maxim S or the RSi i believe.

Ah.
Reason i ask i've got an RSI lump to put into my 1.2 soon...the box is there but on 80k wheras my 1.2 box (JB1 i think) is only on 47k...i'd rather use that if it will take the abuse as its newer, will have shorter ratios and looks a bit cleaner.
What do you reckon?
