View Full Version : If you had spare cash to spend on a car
Assuming the car has decent performance, appearance and ICE to start with. Which would be you priority?
For me, it would be handling - closely followed by engine work.
for me engine work.
or repairs to remove the dreaded rust
right now id go for engine not to bothered about upgrading parts just new parts
Yeah, I kinda have this feeling the engine work option might just be the thing for the bunch here. :)
Surly, someone here must want comfort too :D
Now that i got the turbo it would have to be engine work! :D
I voted handling first, the same as you though slightly ahead of performance.
No use in having a powerful car that handles like sh!t, you'll get beat every time by a decent handling slightly less powerful car
I think clio_b is fibbing. Show her a big rear wing for the fiesta and she will be all over it. We all know by now the _b is for bling :)
Not anymore! Pure reason i got the turb! its all about performance now!
hmm..toughy...
id be tempted to go with handling first.....but having done that first already before......id go power hehe
ice and comfort wouldnt even come into it for me tbh.
power then handling
nowt else a car needs!
power, handles well as is! 8)

Power is nothing without control. So that first, then bodywork then power.
Bodywork first, I'd want it looking minter than mint! Don't think handling could be any better, maybe a few more horses would be good tho...
80% for engine mods
Bloody straight-line speed merchants
I think your missing the point though zollo your asking williams owners whether they want to improve the handling or power.....no brainer the williams already does corners but 200 bhp would be nice

Bodywork for me, would want things looking mint before starting on performance.
Actually, I was asking in respect to a regular car, not the 16v nor Williams. But looking at the poll, I don't think it will change the result by much. :D
ahh right seems I did'nt read it correctly lol
All things being equal I may well go for handling

neeeeeed more god damn torque and speed
ahh right seems I did'nt read it correctly lol

I didn't read it that well either mate - I see what you're saying! Definately depends on the car then. A Nova would be a death trap with a C20 conversion and no suspension and brake mods  but a Valver would be fine with just an F7R slapped in

Its down to the car I think. On the Clio i'll have spent a similar amount on the looks and the suspension and a bit more on the engine.
When I can find a jetta i'll spend nothing on the engine, **** all on the looks (apart from on cutting disks) but a bit more on the ICE.
Matt
handling and hten engine, ice and comfort wouldn't even come inot it, maybe a bit making it look better but not alot
