View Full Version : Headbolts?
Where can the cheapest headbolts be found for a megane bottom end, 98 and an 1800 head?
Also which are the ones i need to use, williams, valver or megane?

I wouldn't get cheap ones if its a standard engine get OEM bolts.

I don't mean cheap as in poorly made, I mean cheaper than £50 for a set of bolts!
Surely GSF's £30 ones can't be much better, as they are both just bolts?
lol
F7R/F7P bolts are the same.
20quid from GSF iirc. These will be fine.

go to your local fasteners company, pennies each for 10.9's
are head bolts not stretch type. cant be replaced with 10.9,s and arp dont make reuseable head bolts or stud kits for this engine.
£13 quid for FAI ones from motor factors

They must be cos i swear the last time i did a head gasket the old bolts were longer than the new ones??
Yeah they do stretch, hence the tighten up and leave for so long, and then loosen and re-tighten
