After dropping a very limping Clowo16v off at his digs, i was heading back through Huddersfield when this fiesta ST came up the side of me at the lights on the dual carrage way. I could see him checking out my car from the corner of my eye and with that the lights changed. Still messing with my CD player i missed the start and he was off, so insead of trying to catch up i just sayed slightly behind him in the other lane till the next set of lights.

By this time i looked across to see a very smug lad who nodded at me obviously thinking he was going to smoke me again. Right concentrate this time sam...... lights went green we were off....... cya later mate. 8) :lol:

Pulled about 5 or 6 car lengths on him lol

got to the next set of lights, down comes his window ..... '****in 'ell that thing goes doesnt it'

easy to mod tho, theres one running 170ish bhp with just manifold/system induction etc etc due to pants std system

no normally aspirated car gains 20 bhp from a filter and exhaust.manifold no matter how shit the standard set up is.

drive these things alot at work and they're garbage. feel like really short gears and revs poorly. its all the emissions regs they go through now.

DEPENDS HOW ECONOMICAL THE MAPPING IS.. RUMOUR HAS IT THT FORd HAVE DELIBRATELY DE-TUNES THE ST ECU **** OFF CAPS.


Mini did it t-wth the cooper and the one.. detuned the one.. and with some ecu tweaking you get the cooper.. daft eh...an old marketing ploy.

oh and it was pumabuild iirc, or pumaspeed lol

dont know how true it is but supposedly its the st170 engine with crap breathing system n ECU

oh and look at big hp's car no cams or engine work, made 142bhp@wheels before remapped with just breathing mods lol :wink: 152bhp after

Even still, with 170bhp the power/weight only will make it valver speed

my friend had one with the 170bhp pumaspeed stuff, it was dead on with my valver, nothing init.
